Remember that all the things we are attributing to Lestat thinking and feeling are coming from Louis who is 1. not Lestat and 2. An unreliable narrator. Yes some can be true and some not. I don’t think Lestat would have no remorse over killing Louis.

Harry is the least experienced actor but I feel he held his own. It’s hard to gauge Tom in both the movie and the book so it’s hard to tell if some of those less dynamic parts from Harry are his acting or just how Tom is. The book only explores Marion’s and Patricks perspective so any actor playing Tom had to fill in the gaps because doesn’t tell us what Tom experienced. I think Harry had the most complex role to act. I love this story and the cast were incredible.

Shows like "Heartstopper" and "Young Royals" are great, and I like them a lot, but there are also other fish in the sea, and some of them are absolute classics of cinema. Believe it or not, there probably are a couple people, but not many, I suppose, who were born in the past 20 years who've watched classics like "Rope" (1948) and "Boys in the Band" (1970). Actually, there's a lot of gay coding in Hitchcock's films. If you're in-the-know and paying attention, it's kind of fun to pick it out. Besides "Rope," where it's very obvious, examples are to be found in "The Lady Vanishes" (1938), "Rebecca" (1940), "Strangers on a Train" (1951), "North by Northwest" (1959) and "Psycho" (1960). Other older, good films with gay characters/subtexts include "Tea and Sympathy" (1956), "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" (1958), "Suddenly, Last Summer" (1959), "Some Like it Hot" (1959), "Victim" (1961), "The Deadly Affair" (1967), "Advise and Consent" (1962), "Les amitiés particulières/This Special Friendship" (1964), "Victor/Victoria" (1982), "The Hitcher" (1986), "Doing Time on Maple Drive" (1992), "The Talented Mr Ripley" (1999), "The Mudge Boy" (2003), "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" (2011) etc. If you like series, there's the horror/family drama "The Haunting of Hill House" (2018), which features a lesbian character and is absolutely incredible. I suppose some of today's "sophisticated" gays would find some of these films horribly dated, but, if they actually thought about them, they'd think not. Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose. "Rope" is a very good movie, but also very disturbing. So much so, I can't watch it again. "Les amitiés particulières" and "The Hitcher" are also rather disturbing, but I find C. Thomas Howell in "The Hitcher" to be irresistible. In "The Deadly Affair" you get to see an excerpt of Marlowe's "Edward II." It's the part involving the hot poker, unfortunately. What an interesting play, though. Music and poetry is his delight; Therefore, I'll have Italian masques by night, Sweet speeches, comedies, and pleasing shows; And in the day, when he shall walk abroad, Like sylvan nymphs my pages shall be clad; My men, like satyrs grazing on the lawns, Shall with their goat-feet dance an antic hay. Sometime a lovely boy in Dian's shape, With hair that gilds the water as it glides, Crownets of pearl about his naked arms, And in his sportful hands an olive tree To hide those parts which men delight to see, Shall bathe him in a spring; and there, hard by, One like Actaeon, peeping through the grove, Shall by the angry goddess be transformed, And running in the likeness of a hart By yelping hounds pulled down and seem to die. Such things as these best please his majesty.

i think you’ll really enjoy the way this season in particular has been talking about vampirism as community! there’s a lot of on the nose but touching parallels i think :)

I mean, if you think about the San Francisco flashback from last season, Louis and Armand DID see Daniel across the bar and really liked his vibe 🤷

The “you and me” scene at the end of the episode touched me and broke my heart because Louis said exactly what Claudia needed to hear and he was lying to her face and knew it. It wasn’t even her and him in that moment because the obsession with Lestat was front and center. No spoilers…can’t wait to you get to episode five. 🥰

You two are in for a great season. I have watched five episodes so far and they have all been great. I have heard the last two or three episodes are even better. I'm glad you are doing this show again.

A lot of people think they don't dream, but pretty much everyone does, so maybe Claudia just didn't remember. On the other hand, they're not human, so who knows?

You guys might try the italian show Prisma. I recommend it.

One thing you should keep in mind about "Dream Lestat" this season is that Louis is creating him in his mind. The things Dreamstat says are things that Louis is actually thinking himself. He is expressing Louis' true feelings.

What I like the most about this episode is that after all the melodrama of the last few episodes of the first season; this season starts out with 'remember this is a horror show!'. Honestly, can't wait to watch more Reactions! This season rivals if not outshines the first season. Word around the crypts is that the last three episodes are amazing. Also heard the shows main writer, Rolin Jones, has just re-upped his contract with AMC, which means that Season 3 should be officially announced any day now.

I am obsessed/hooked with this show it's become one of my favorites. Season 1 was incredible, and Season 2 has been just as good if not better such a treat.
